The Mimbar is a common part of all mosques and although they have different deigns they all serve the same purpose. The mimbar in Falkirk Mosque has a more traditional mimbar which is in the form of a chair (see picture). The Stirling and Alloa masjids have a similar design which consists of 3 steps. The Imam sits on the mimbar and talks to the musallis (people who are there to perform the prayers). The Muslims will sit on the ground facing the Imam.
