The
Mimbar is a common part of all mosques and although they have different
deigns they all serve the same purpose. The mimbar in Falkirk Mosque
has a more traditional mimbar which is in the form of a chair (see
picture). The Stirling and Alloa masjids have a similar design
which consists of 3 steps. The Imam sits on the mimbar and talks to
the musallis (people who are there to perform the prayers). The Muslims
will sit on the ground facing the Imam. After the speech, the imam
delivers the Khutba standing up on the bottom step.. |
