 | My story: Sharper pencil | |
Assalamu-alaykum, My teacher got a new pencil sharpener. It wasbrilliant. You put your pencil
in, it makes a grinding noise and hey presto, a perfectly sharp pencil.
As the bell rang for playtime I thought I might as well sharpen my pencil before I go.
It made the
grinding noise and then this crunching noise. It stopped working! I put the pencil in my pocket and quickly went to play with my friends.
After playtime the teacher was really angry.
She said, “You will not get playtime again until I find out who broke my sharpener!”
After class, I explained that it was me who broke it and it was just an accident.
My
teacher said, “I forgive you but next time ask before using other people’s things!”
Phew, at least we got playtime back! Penpal
 | lesson: Be merciful | |
Allah has ninety-nine names and one of the most common used is that Allah is most merciful.
This means that Allah forgives peoples sins if they ask Him for forgiveness.
When we do something bad, we should always turn to Allah and ask him to forgive us for the bad thing
we have done. However, there are a few things you have to remember.
Firstly, we should feel bad about the bad thing we have done and make an intention of never doing it again.
We should then ask Allah for forgiveness.
If we do something bad to other people, we should say sorry to them as well. If people say sorry to us, we too should forgive them. If we
show mercy to others, Allah will show mercy to us on the day of Judgement.

 | story: Destined for Jannah | |
Once the Prophet (pbuh) was sitting with a group of pious companions in Masjid Nabwi in
Madina. They were listening to the Prophet (pbuh) when he (pbuh) stopped and said, “The next person to come through the door is a person who will be entered into Jannah!”
The
people stopped and awaited the arrival of this special person. Just then, Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqaas (R) walked through the door and everyone was really happy. Sa’d was a very respected and much
loved Muslim. He was also related to our Prophet (pbuh) because he was from the tribe of his mother (Amina).
In another gathering, Our Prophet (pbuh) again said, “The next
person to come through the door is a person who will be entered into Jannah!” Everyone waited excitedly and again Sa’d walked into the Mosque.
In a third gathering, our Prophet
(pbuh) said the same thing and again Sa’d walked through the door. One of the companions, who was in the gathering, wanted to know what made Sa’d such a special person that he will be
entered into Paradise. The man decided that he would stay with Sa’d and see what kind of super worship he does which will give him such a great reward in the next life.
After three
days, the man noticed that Sa’d does not do anything special compared to any of the other companions. The man was a little puzzled so he decided to ask Sa’d why he was given this special
status.
Sa’d (r) explained to him that the only thing he does different is that before he goes to bed he forgives everyone that may have done anything wrong to him. The man realised
that this was the great action which would make Sa’d entered into Jannah.

It has recently been proven that although peoples eye colour, hair colour and other features
can be the same, no two people have the same fingerprints.
The Qur’an says that when we are brought back to life on the Day of Judgement, we will be exactly as before, to the
extent of our fingertips.

Assalamu-alaykum, When someone does something wrong or bad to us, we often get angry
and want to hurt them back. At very least we stop being their friends. Islam teaches us that we should forgive that person just as we would want others to forgive us. PP

For as long as you live,
you must remember to forgive
Before you breath your last
For forgiveness you must ask
When you ask Allah, be sincere
And from bad you must stay clear
In life you need to forgive and forget
In return, great reward you will collect
