 | My story: penpal gets
upset | |
Great to see you all again!
You are never going to believe what
happened to me last week. I was playing Fifa 2005 on my Playstation, it was brilliant.
The next day, I heard a couple of my friends talking about me. They were saying that Penpal
thinks he's cool at football but can't even kick a ball.
They said some other rude things about me as well which made me feel really sad. I did not tell them but I was very upset.
I realised that talking about people behind their back is not a good thing and hurts a lot. Well it did hurt me.
Now on, Insha-Allah, I will never speak about anyone in a bad way.
I am going to stop backbiting and saying rude things about people.
Thanks for listening, at least I have a good friend in you.
 | lesson: telling the truth | |
A man came to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and said that he had some bad habits and asked
Muhammad (pbuh) for some advice. The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) advised him to always speak the truth.
The next day the man was going to steal something. He thought what
will I tell the prophet (pbuh) if he asks me what I did today. He knew that he would have to tell the prophet (pbuh) the truth and so decided not to steal.
The next day the same man
wanted to drink alcohol. He again thought what will I tell the prophet (pbuh) if he asks me, "What did you do today?" He decided to leave this also as he knew he had to tell the truth to the
Prophet (pbuh).
From that day on the man always tried his best to tell the truth and all his bad habits disappeared.

 | story: The kindest man | |
In Makkah, the people loved and respected Muhammad (pbuh) and treated him kindly. When
Allah gave him revelation and made him a prophet, the people turned against him and would try to harm him. This was because Muhammad told them to worship only Allah and they wanted to
worship their stone idols.
There was an old woman who would collect thorns and twigs. She would wait until Muhammad (pbuh) was coming and she then threw them in the way
hoping that Muhammad (pbuh) would step on them and get hurt. She would collect these thorns everyday and wait for Muhammad (pbuh) to arrive.
One day, the prophet (pbuh) was
passing by and saw that the old woman had not thrown down the thorns on the road. He was worried for the old lady and asked some people where she was. They told him that the old woman
was very ill and too sick to leave her bed.
The Prophet (pbuh) was very concerned for the old lady and went to visit her. When he went to her house, he spoke to her in a respectful
and kind manner. He spoke to her politely and said some kind words before he left her house.
The woman was very surprised to meet such a respectful man. She felt ashamed that
she had been so cruel to him over all this time. She decided that Muhammad (pbuh) was not a bad person like people had told her but was a kind and honest gentleman. From that day on she
never tried to hurt the prophet (pbuh) in any way.

Scientists studied the Qur'an and came to the conclusion that there are no errors in the
Qur'an. They say that the information in the Qur'an is completely accurate, unlike any other 'old' book they have come across.
Some scientists conclude that the Qur'an could not
have been written by any human being
