 | My story: Magic tricks | |
Assalamu-alaykum, Friends,
I was telling my dad about the magician at school. He told a boy from my class to pick a card from the pack of cards he had. Then without being able to look at it he told everyone what card it
was. It was so cool.
My dad said, “That was just a trick but let me tell you about a miracle.”
The prophet (pbuh) pointed towards the moon and Allah made the moon split into two.
The people that were watching said that they saw one half of the moon move towards one side of the hill and the other half move towards the other side of the hill.
This wasn't a trick but was a miracle.
My dad said the prophet (pbuh) done many miracles.
That sounds so cool. I wish I could have seen them. Pp

prophets | |
The Prophets of Allah were special teachers sent to their people to guide
them and teach them about Allah. They all had the same core message that Allah is one and to only worship Him.
Different Prophets were given different miracles. For
example, Musa (as) came at a time of magic. His stick changed into a snake. This demonstrated to the magicians that Musa (as) was a true prophet of Allah.
Isa (as) came at a time when people would go around healing people. Isa (as) came and healed people that were born blind, lepers and brought someone back to life. This demonstrated to the
people that he was a true prophet of Allah.
Muhammad (pbuh) came when language was at its pinnacle. His miracle was the Qur’an itself and when people heard its words, they knew that Muhammad (pbuh) was a prophet.

 | story: The message | |
Our Prophet (pbuh) dispatched messengers to carry letters to rulers of the time. These
letters invited the rulers to leave behind their old ways and accept Islam as their way of life.
Dihyah Ibn Khalifah (R) was the messengers sent to Hercules, the King of the Byzantines. When the Caesar (Hercules ) received the letter, he read it with much interest. He then commanded
some of his men to find an Arab who knew about Muhammad (pbuh). He wanted to know more about Muhammad (pbuh), his teachings and mission.
Very soon, the men came across some Arab traders in Jerusalem of whom one was Abu Sufyan. The group was taken to Hercules who questioned them about Muhammad (pbuh). He asked
many questions and Abu Sufyan answered them truthfully. After each answer, Hercules became more sure that Muhammad (pbuh) was actually the true messenger of Allah foretold in their
scripture.
Abu Sufyan wanted to discredit Muhammad (pbuh) but did not want to lie in fear that this will be a cause of dishonour. He thought no one will believe the night journey and decided to relate it to
Hercules.
When Abu Sufyan began relating the story, one of the religious leaders said, “I know about that night!” Hercules was surprised and asked, “How?”
The religious leader said that he used to lock the doors of the masjid every night before retiring to bed. On that night he was unable to lock the mosque, despite his best efforts. The next
morning, he knew something had taken place at the masjid. Allah had kept the doors open because a prophet was going to come.
This journey was another miracle ofour Prophet (pbuh) when he went on the night-journey to Jerusalem and all the prophets prayed behind him.

 | did you know | |
A battle took place between the Persians and the Romans at a place referred to in the Qur’an
as “adnal-ardh “ which means the lowest point.
Modern Science and Geography confirm that the lowest point on the Earth is at the shores of the Dead sea which is also the location of this battle!

Assalamu-alaykum, when we think about a miracle we think of something supernatural or
amazing. However, every breath and every heart beat is so complex that it’s actually a miracle in itself. Sometimes we take these things for granted and forget life is a miracle. PP

A miracle is something we don't need
Just believe in Allah and stick to tawheed
The magicians sticks were all fake
Whilst Musa’s turned into a snake
Even the pebbles gave salaam
To the one who was given the Qu’ran
To show that his mission was true
Muhammad split the moon in two

The Prophet (pbuh) performed many miracles during his life.
