Assalamu-alaykum and welcome to this special issue.
What a hard week I have had. I wanted to put something into the newsletter that you had sent to me but I couldn't choose which one.
I read all the letters, poems, jokes and looked at all the drawings. They were all so fantastic that I just couldn't choose.
I had to get my sister Amina to help me decide. After a long time we still couldn't pick just one.
Since we loved so many of them, we packed this issue with as many as possible.
This is a special issue with loads of your work so enjoy all the hard work of all our artists and poets. Oh and don't forget the Jokers!
I hope you enjoy them and look forward to receiving more of your work next time

Masha Allah, what a fantastic drawing of a Masjid. I had to put this at the front because it was the first picture I received from my friends.
Do you know that the first house built for Allah was the Ka'bah. All the other mosques are also known as the house of Allah.
The mosques should be kept clean so we must be extra careful not to make a mess in the mosque. It is a place of worship and prayer so we should not make loud noises and must try to speak very quietly.

 | Story - The Evil King | |
There was once an evil king who was against Islam and the Muslims. The king decided he was going to finish off Islam by taking away the Qur'an from the people. He ordered his soldiers to go to the Muslim towns and cities, collect all the copies of the Qur'an and burn them!
The soldiers began terrorising the people and collecting all the Qur'ans. They made huge piles and started burning them as the poor Muslims watched in horror.
That evening, the king looked outside at his kingdom and saw the huge clouds of smoke that had filled the sky. The king was satisfied thinking he had finished off Islam. He thought, if there were no Qur'ans left, the Muslims would not be able to learn about Islam. They would slowly leave Islam and go astray.
As the King sat on his throne over-looking the city, he was very happy. Then from all the commotion he heard the voice of a little six year old boy. The evil king listened more carefully as this boy began reciting the Qur'an from his memory. The king was so shocked at the pure words of the Qur'an that echoed in the city.
The King realised that Allah has promised to preserve the Qur'an and protect it till the Day of Judgement. The evil king may have burned the written copies of the Qur'an but he could never take the Qur'an from the hearts of the people. It took a six-year old child to teach him this lesson.

Allah made man out of clay so he could pray 5 times a day. To work and eat with his own hands and spread Islam throughout the lands.
His voice to do zikr and call out Azaan. His life devoted to the holy Quran. The prophet an example for him to follow and all other ways he refuses to swallow.
Everyday involved in learning and teaching. Truth and justice he must go on preaching. Until one day he breathes his last and is called to account for deeds of the past.
