 | My Story - The Cheat? | |
Assalamu-alaykum, friends.
It was an exciting match, our class was playing against the other class at the mosque. We were having a really tough time.
The score was two each and time was just about to finish. Suddenly, someone passed the ball to me.
I beat one player then the next and soon it was just me and the keeper.
I was ready to take the winning shot when my friend came and tackled me and I fell to the ground. The whistle went as I asked for a penalty.
My Ustad said, "Full time!" and I was really disappointed because I was sure I could have easily scored.
Afterwards, I called my friend a cheat but he replied, "You played good bro but in Islam you shouldn't keep a grudge. You are a good player. Maybe you will score next time, Insha Allah"
 | Lesson - A Healthy heart | |
When we talk about the heart we are talking about one of the most important parts of the human body. The heart has to be kept healthy and we must take good care of it.
Physically, the heart is the organ which pumps blood around the body. This is a vital organ which ensures that oxygen reaches all the parts of the body.
Spiritually, the heart is the seat of all our emotions and thoughts. It is vital for our spiritual well being and with a healthy heart we will have good actions and good character.
The Prophet (pbuh) said that there is one piece of flesh in the body which, if it is good, the whole body is good and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. This is the heart.
Take special care of our hearts by removing all negative emotions such as Jealousy, envy, greed and hatred from it.

 | Story - Shining face | |
bu Dujana was a great and brave Sahabah. He was so courageous that the non Muslims would be afraid of him because of his reputation. If the Muslims were in a difficult situation or if they were under attack from bad people, they knew that Abu Dujana was ready to help them.
However, everyone that new him also knew that he was extremely kind and a very gentle and fair person. He would read Qur'an and study Islam deeply. He was always respectful and polite and would never get angry or use bad language.
Once Abu Dujana was very ill so a group of Sahabah went to visit him. This is a sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) to visit people when they are ill.
When the sahabah met Abu Dujana, they saw that he was very ill but his face was shining with noor. The companions were very surprised so they asked him about this noor or light.
Abu Dujana replied that he could not think of anything that would cause him to have this noor apart from two qualities. Firstly, he did not talk about things that had no concern to him. Secondly, he said that he kept his heart clean with regards to other Muslims.
The Sahabah were very happy. They had learned two important lessons from this great sahabi. They should not get involved in talking about things which do not concern them. This includes chit-chat about worldly things, people and events which give no one any benefit.
The second valuable lesson they learned from Abu Dujana was never to hold bad opinions or thoughts, Jealousy and envy and any form of hatred or grudge against any Muslims, Instead they should think good of everyone else.

Assalamu-alaykum, having a clean heart is having a healthy heart. To have a clean heart we need to make an effort to clean all the badness from it. This 'junk' includes all bad or negative emotions. We should also be grateful to Allah for his favours and do good deeds. PP
